Spiced Almonds

Nuts-1Easy and quick to prepare, these Greek-inspired almonds are perfect for your guests to munch on at your next cocktail party.

RECIPE:

2 cups whole unsalted almonds

2 tabelspoons olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon dried lemon peel

Kosher salt

DIRECTIONS:

Heat the oven to 400°. Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and toast until darkened and fragrant, about 15-20 minutes. Remove and toss into a sauté pan. Add olive oil, oregano, rosemary, garlic powder and lemon peel. Toss the mixture over heat to coat with the oil. Spread onto a baking sheet, sprinkle with Kosher salt and serve when cooled.

  • I didn’t have dried lemon peel so I just used a little grated lemon rind. These were wonderful and a huge hit a dinner party- it’s amazing how much better they taste than store bought roasted almonds.
